If your company wants to support a good cause, saving green spaces for current and future generations is certainly a worthy one. There are a number of ways to support us in protecting fields and lobbying for changes in planning legislation:

  • Making a donation to one of our programme areas. These are Protection, Safeguarding, Improvements and Campaigning and Education.
  • Sponsoring specific projects such as buying an individual field, or the Space Standard publication, projects which allow you to promote your company to new audiences
  • Fundraising as a company – set up a cause-related marketing scheme (eg donating £x per item sold), get your employees involved, organise a fundraising day or event, set up a GAYE scheme – all whilst raising awareness of your contribution to community fields throughout the UK.
  • Become a Corporate Member and you'll receive our Corporate Membership package.

Ethical and social responsibility is now considered a leading factor in the future success of a company.

Ethical and social responsibility was held to be a more significant factor in determining future company success than marketing, organisation structure or global reach. (720 CEOs, the world’s most respected companies; PWC Dec 2000)

'77 per cent of CEO’s and Marketing Directors believe CRM can enhance corporate and brand reputation' Business in the Community, 2001.

There are many benefits to supporting an organisation that helps to enhance the lives of communities across the UK:

  • Supporting a national charity shows tangible commitment to your social responsibility policy
  • Links with the UK's only national and independent body working to protect playing fields enhances public perception of your company.
  • Supporting FIT shows active support to alleviate social issues such as childhood obesity, anti-social behaviour and youth crime.
  • Encouraging your employees to get involved in a good cause enhances morale and demonstrates your social responsibility.
  • You could drive sales/services of your company through our network of supporters and influential bodies.
  • Networking with our distinguished partners, members and supporters at FIT events could prove beneficial to your company.

If you would like to know more about how you and your company can help us safeguard children’s access to playing fields, please call Elspeth Gilfillan on 0208 735 3384.
