Can a playing field be a charity?
It may be but it depends on how it was established. You can check to see if it is a registered charity by going to the Charity Commission website:

Can our football club have a lease on a King George's Field?
Probably not, but any lease would require the permission of Fields in Trust and follow the requirements of the 1993 Charities Act.
